I did a 12 week program (www.bodyforlife.com) and while it took a while... it worked. I promised myself after trying program after program, to give this one a YEAR to see if it would really work. A YEAR! Well, within 6 months I was a size 2/4 - from a 10/12. I was your age at the time. Eliminating (or at least cutting way back on) sugar - especially the nearer you are to menopause - is going to be important. You need to think of your body as a roll of paper towels. As you make healthy choices... your body is changing from the inside out and you peel of a "paper towel" each time. Little by little the paper towel roll gets smaller and smaller and what gets unveiled underneath is a fit, healthy core. Just remember to do some strength training and cardio every week. For me... I had SLOW progress the first 8-10 weeks!! That about killed me, but then it started to melt off. My clothes changed more than the scale did, though. So, don't rely solely on the scale. Hope this helps a little.Jacquie Wallacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00563035501430986577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2658934823595947474.post-48258059495238929422011-04-16T10:01:13.048-07:002011-04-16T10:01:13.048-07:00I love that picture of my beautiful friend!I love that picture of my beautiful friend!Faithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04382294395294771130noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2658934823595947474.post-69787973217692655592011-04-14T21:56:12.724-07:002011-04-14T21:56:12.724-07:00Great job! One day at a time!

I also have tried to cut down on the sugar, in my cereal, in my tea, etc. Trying to eat better breakfasts too, more whole grain cereal, less buttered toast. :)

Dinner is my downfall. Breakfast and lunch are good, but dinner? SO hungry. Not the healthiest of meals for us and I always eat too much.
